Dr. Nasim Akther brings a unique blend of experience and compassionate care to Sage Psychiatric Care, currently serving as a Psychiatry Resident in San Antonio while board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. With a strong foundation of over five years in registered nursing and advanced psychiatric training, Dr. Akther is committed to building trusting relationships with patients and their families, ensuring they feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their mental health journey.

Dr. Akther provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and personalized treatment plans for individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and other mental health challenges. She believes in a collaborative, patient-centered approach, valuing open communication while tailoring treatment to each individual's needs and goals.

Her experience across hospital, rehabilitation, and private practice settings has equipped her with the skills to manage acute and chronic mental health concerns with both empathy and clinical expertise.
